Convenience Store Robbery



On Monday, August 20, 2012 at 1:50 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service attended to the area of the 1800 block of Main Street regarding a commercial robbery of a convenience store.

The investigation revealed that a lone male suspect attended to this location armed with a weapon, and approached a 31 year old female employee. The male suspect demanded and fled from the location with goods totaling approximately $1200 dollars.

The victim did not sustain injury as a result of this incident.

The suspect in this matter is described as:  Male, Caucasian, 23-29 years old, approximately 5'9" tall, medium build and clean shaven.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

    My son came home and told me that some asian dude tried to sell him a handgun for $50 on Selkirk Ave. All of those gun laws that the RCMP enforces are really doing a lot of good aren't they! Gun laws mean shit to criminals, but our politicians are sooooo bloody stupid. My God.
