Arrest Made in Salbury House Shooting...



On Thursday, February 21, 2013 at approximately 10:20 a.m., Devin Kingsley HALL, 26 years was located and arrested in the area of Portage Avenue and St. James Street without incident.

He has been charged with the following offences due to his alleged involvement:

- 1st Degree Murder
- Attempted Murder
- Numerous firearm related offences


He was detained and the investigation is on-going.

CASE BACKGROUND:
On Thursday, September 27, 2012 at approximately 3:00 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the Salsbury House Restaurant at the 700 block of Pembina Highway regarding a shooting incident the local restaurant.

Attending Police Officers located two adult males who had been shot. Both males were transported, one in critical condition and the other in unstable condition.

The male transported in critical condition succumbed to his injuries. The deceased has been identified as: Jeffrey Michael LAU, 23 years.

The second male, 22 years of age, was listed in stable condition.

The investigation has revealed that a male suspect attended to the restaurant and fired multiple shots, subsequently injuring the two male victims.

A lengthy investigation continued by members of the Homicide Unit with the assistance of other police members within the service.
